The word yoga has been derived from the Sanskrit word “yuj” which means a bond. Yoga is a method or union of disciplines which includes an amalgamation of spiritual, mental and physical practices. It aims to transform the mind and body. Modern approach towards yoga is not based on any religion or belief, although it is believed that yoga has its roots in Buddhism and Hinduism.
